FIRDAUS Studio Series – Part 3

It’s not a moment to be cherished but an experience to be relived in memories forever.

We were all flabbergasted to just stand and walk around the place where the man himself was there

What a day!! An exclusive tour and being one of the first public people to have entered and experience the vision of the Isaipuyal, one and only AR RAHMAN was amazing.

We were all flabbergasted to just stand and walk around the place where the man himself was there. First of all to begin with, the sweetest Mr. Aditya Modi received us from the entrance. Who would have thought someone of his position would do that? He was very inviting and patient throughout the tour. Entering the studio, he welcomed everyone in the reception and gave few insights about how this vision on paper became real. And turning to the right, we all were dumbfounded.

Who would even bat an eye seeing the treasure of AR Rahman that close. YES!!!!! It was the OSCARS, GRAMMY, BAFTA, GOLDEN GLOBE. I still remember the day back in 2009 when I bought all the newspapers to paper cut the pictures of ARR holding the OSCARS. Fast-forward to 2022, here I am standing right in front of those OSCARS.

Dreams do come true

Dreams do come true. Moving on to the next room was the Score Stage with a Bamboo flooring. The room lit and filled with instruments. It has two isolation booths in the ground floor and two upstairs for the recording. There were speakers, a screen where it can be viewed as a preview theatre and that being said, in the right corner of the room there was a grand piano covered in the name of AR RAHMAN. I could just picture him sitting and playing that beautiful white piano. Moving on to the upstairs, where the magic happens, Mr. Adi took us to the server control room. OMG!! Literally I could feel this chills on my spine and I was floating in the air. I didn’t want anyone to pull my down. I wanted to stay in the air and wished the time could freeze then. Following all the posts where ARR invites his colleagues and friends and take a picture, right there I was standing. GOOSEBUMPS!!! And just then I had thought that was the end of the tour, the sweetest Mr.Adi sat down to play us some music. Ofc, how will we miss WHY? The Musical. We wanted him to play dance of the atoms. But before that, he had played us how the speakers work.

Whole of the studio has dolby atmos installed

Whole of the studio has dolby atmos installed. How can we miss the iconic dolby atmos experience? Trust me, the sound that we hear in the theaters is nothing compared to this. I could literally hear even a single drop of a water while there’s a thunder sound. Whilst in the awe of this, next comes ‘Dance of the atoms’. Thoroughly enjoyed the song as enjoyed in the musical. There was no light, no video, just the master copy of the song.

This was beyond dream

Being one of the very few composers that do not exceed the decibel meter limit, I could actual witness it live inside the studio. There was a live decibel meter ticking. This was beyond dream. While sinking in the rap of Blaze and ARR’s humming, next come ‘MOOPILLA TAMIZHE THAAYE’ song. I was one among those thousands of people to hear and watch it for the first time when he launched at the concert ‘ENCORE’. Just two days later, being able to experience in his studio was out of the world experience. Though I can’t freeze the time.

I could just narrate everything in sleep. It’s not a moment to be cherished but an experience to be relived in memories forever

I could just narrate everything in sleep. It’s not a moment to be cherished but an experience to be relived in memories forever. We were now almost to the end of the tour, we took picture in front of the iconic logo and had few conversation with the sweetest Aditya Modi. We just didn’t have the heart to leave the place. I didn’t feel like ARR was missing. The place was filled with his aura and as I walk by all I could think was that, this place is where ARR has bee there. That gave me chills all over again and again. I am having a major head rush thinking about what an amazing day we all had.

This write up would definitely be incomplete without mentioning the pillar behind this. CHANDER 🙂 we all love you. Thank you would be an understatement and we can never reciprocate this and we all owe you forever. Who does this? Not being able to visit the studio, concerts himself but makes his fellow fans to experience it. You are a great man Chander. God bless you with abundant happiness, peace and health:)

We love you ARR. Blessed to have just lived in this era where you create this magic and being able to witness it live and live with it everyday. I am sure my generations to come will be his ardent fans. Keep us alive with your music sir. Love you the most.
